On reaching in the morning, we were welcomed by the owner and also by the 2 daschunds, who were wagging their tails uncontrollably.
The owner who manages it was an IT professional, before leaving his well paid job to pursue his dream of setting up a homestay in his parents estate + home.
We were taken to our lodgings, which is a separate building behind the main house. It is on the first floor. Quite spacious and clean, it consists of a main verandah and 3 bedrooms. There is a balcony type sitout
also.
After taking rest in the early morning, some of us decided to go for the trek to Mulliangiri peak. After a couple of hours of trek, came back to the homestay freshened up and started to relax with music and a game of cards. Most of us took a short nap after the lunch and got ready for the evening party.
The evening saw most of us getting busy with setting up the party atmosphere. There were 4 music systems that we set up. Also this trip highlight was
newly bought fog machine and disco lights. It is a truly magical moment for everyone when they saw the lights and fog being activated.
Some of us got busy with preparing for a beautiful barbecue. Some of us also got busy with preparing amazing cocktails for the evening.
We partied late into the night. Next day had breakfast and then headed back to bangalore with the music still in the ears and the disco lights dancing in the
mind...
Pros:
1] Amazing location. Quite isolated from any other houses.
2] Very neat and clean.
Cons:
1] Bit expensive compared to other homestays. There is not much differentiating factor to justify the high price.
2] Small campfire area. This should have been much bigger to move around.
3] Food is below average and no variety also.
Eventually we hope that the mentioned cons will be sorted out and improved based on the feedback of other guests also.
